1 	Stephen Roach has urged firms to reduce the size of their workforce. 
	Many firms, like AT&T, have adopted this strategy, making tens of 			thousands of workers redundant. Produce a report for a large multinational 	summarising the advantages of down-sizing.

2 	Produce a second report explaining why, in the light of Stephen Roach's 		recent comments, down-sizing is 'ill-conceived short-termism'.

3 	Evaluate the opposing viewpoints. In your view, which strategy is best 
	if the firm wishes to achieve long-term growth?
